Governor Bala Mohammed Slams Tinubu’s Adviser

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has accused President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media, Sunday Dare, of promoting divisive rhetoric and neglecting professionalism. In a strongly worded statement by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, Mohammed criticized Dare for turning his role into a platform for political attacks rather than encouraging unity and constructive dialogue.

The governor’s statement, titled “Enough is Enough,” highlighted Dare’s remarks during national events, including Juma’at prayers and Armed Forces Remembrance Day, as poorly timed and disrespectful. Mohammed’s team expressed frustration over the administration’s intolerance of criticism, citing that genuine concerns about tax reforms were met with personal attacks instead of meaningful engagement.

Drawing comparisons to Tinubu’s history as a pro-democracy advocate, the governor questioned the administration’s approach to stifling dissent. He firmly declared his commitment to speaking out for Nigerians, stating, “Respect does not mean silence. Enough is enough.”
