Gunmen in Kwara kill two and injure three

A group of gunmen reportedly raided the Alalubosa community in the Oko Olowo area of the Asa local government council of Kwara State on Tuesday night, killing two people and injuring three others, inflicting varied degrees of gunshot wounds.

According to the information acquired,  The hoodlums barged into the neighborhood late on Tuesday night and started firing randomly while Mayhem broke out, sending locals running helter-skelter.

“Abdullahi Awe’s leg was broken by a pistol butt, and Semiat Mukaila, a girl, had her arm shot. Both of them are currently being treated at an unnamed hospital. Isiaq Abdullahi was also wounded in the arm by the thugs. Another resident, Abdul Rasheed Alafara, was shot in the leg as he attempted to flee the scene. The attackers chased him down and killed him with a machete assault.
While the others fled into the jungle, the vigilante team members killed one of the accused kidnappers. They were unable to remove anyone from the neighborhood, according to an eyewitness.

The local vigilante team was able to shoot one of the thugs while the others fled, according to reports. The gunmen, who reportedly numbered about six, opened fire on the neighborhood for more than 30 minutes.
The source praised the men of the neighborhood vigilante team for their bravery and pleaded with the relevant authorities to give them enough ammunition to fight militants.
Okasanmi Ajayi, the police public relations officer, acknowledged the information and stated that the police command had sent its men to the area as soon as it was received at 1:00 am.

“A police squad is already on the site. Please provide more details later, the PPRO sternly commanded.
