Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has been suspended indefinitely by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) following accusations of professional misconduct. According to the AGN, Abubakar was involved in spreading false and damaging information about fellow actors, associates, and prominent figures, including claims of extramarital affairs.

The Guild disclosed that a two-year secret investigation, launched in 2022, confirmed Abubakar’s role in circulating slanderous information through blogs and social media platforms. As a result, the actress is barred from participating in any AGN or filming activities while awaiting further disciplinary actions from the Guild’s National Disciplinary Committee.
The AGN also revealed that other female members are currently under investigation by the same panel for allegedly releasing sensitive names connected to the Senate President. Abubakar’s suspension underscores the Guild’s commitment to upholding professionalism and accountability within the industry.
