Happening Now: Biden Allocates $100 Million in Humanitarian Aid for Gaza

Washington, D.C., October 18, 2023 – President of the United States, Joe Biden, has made a significant announcement via his official social media handle, stating that the U.S. government will provide $100 million in humanitarian assistance for Gaza and the West Bank. This aid is aimed at supporting more than one million displaced and conflict-affected Palestinians in the region.

In the President’s post, he affirmed, “I just announced $100 million for humanitarian assistance in Gaza and the West Bank. This money will support over 1 million displaced and conflict-affected Palestinians. And we will have mechanisms in place so this aid reaches those in need – not Hamas or terrorist groups.”

Additionally, President Biden and his team have arrived in Israel to express solidarity with the Israeli people in the wake of a recent terrorist attack carried out by Hamas. Further details on this initiative are expected to follow.

This significant commitment underscores the U.S. government’s dedication to addressing the humanitarian crisis in the region and supporting those affected by the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and the West Bank.
