In a disturbing incident in Ibadan, Oyo State, a commercial motorcyclist has reportedly been killed by unidentified gunmen suspected to be armed robbers. The tragic event unfolded on Sunday night in Olorunda Aba town, situated in the Lagelu Local Government Area of the state.
According to an eyewitness who preferred to remain anonymous, the motorcyclist was conveying his assailants to an unknown destination when he was brutally attacked and killed. The gunmen, believed to be armed robbers, fled the scene with the victim’s motorcycle.
Efforts to obtain an official police response were unsuccessful, as the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, could not be reached as his mobile number was unreachable.
The community is left in shock and mourning as the details surrounding the incident are expected to be revealed later.
