Two renowned internet sensations, popularly known as the Happie Boys, have reportedly been apprehended and placed in detention within a Cyprus prison facility. They are facing undisclosed charges, which have led to their arrest by the authorities.
The Happie Boys initially gained fame when they lost their security guard jobs in Nigeria after a video went viral showing them dancing while on duty at a fast-food restaurant. Following this incident, they were awarded scholarships to pursue their education in Cyprus, courtesy of the prominent religious figure, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, who is the founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM).
However, their fortunes took a different turn when a video emerged online in which the two young men accused the pastor of abandoning them in Cyprus. In response, the pastor clarified that he had advised them to return to Nigeria due to economic challenges resulting from fluctuations in exchange rates.
