According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has expressed his intention to remain in the Premier League if he is not sold before their league opener against Brentford on August 13. Kane believes that out of respect for the club and their new manager, Ange Postecoglou, it would be unfair to leave once the season has commenced.
Bayern Munich has been in discussions to sign the England captain for several weeks, and the Bundesliga champions are determined to improve upon their previous £81.7m (€95m) offer to Spurs. A potential deal for Kane would become Bayern’s biggest transfer ever.
Although Manchester United was also linked with Kane, they are reportedly close to finalizing a deal for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund instead.
