Tuesday’s shooting at a high school in Louisiana left one student dead and another in custody, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at St. Helena College and Career Academy in Greensburg at around three in the afternoon, according to the St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office. A minimum of two more patients were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. It took a while to find out about their health.

As reported by Sheriff Nat Williams, the alleged shooter, a young person who attends the school, was taken into custody. He stated that the charges would be made public later.

According to officials, a reason for the shooting has not been established.

“A tragic tragedy happened on the St. Helena College and Career Academy campus, the St. Helena Parish School District said on Facebook on Tuesday evening. We are currently collaborating closely with law enforcement on the site, which is still active.

The football game and School Board meeting are both postponed until Friday, according to the district. All students will have access to grief counselors upon their return this Friday”.

Kelli Joseph, the superintendent of the St. Helena Parish School District, was contacted through email and voicemail to request a statement.
