Hollywood Legend James Earl Jones Dies at 93

Legendary actor James Earl Jones, famous for his iconic voice as Darth Vader in Star Wars, has passed away at the age of 93. Jones died early Monday morning, surrounded by his family, according to his agent, Barry McPherson.

Jones, with a career spanning decades, starred in notable films like The Lion King, Field of Dreams, and Coming to America. His deep, gravelly voice brought Darth Vader to life, becoming one of cinema’s most unforgettable performances. Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, paid tribute, sharing “RIP Dad” with a broken heart emoji.

Beyond Star Wars, Jones left his mark on stage and screen, earning three Tony Awards, two Emmys, a Grammy, and an honorary Oscar in 2011. He also voiced CNN’s famous tagline, “This is CNN,” and was celebrated for his stage work in Othello and King Lear. James Earl Jones will forever be remembered for his incredible talent and lasting legacy.
