Nigerian actress, Mary Njoku, has expressed her astonishment and concern regarding the current cost of living in the country. She specifically highlighted her recent experience of paying N664 for toll gate fees, questioning how people are managing to survive in such conditions.
Njoku expressed her shock over the significant increase in prices of goods and services, including fuel and food, since President Bola Tinubu assumed office. She posed a thought-provoking question to her fellow Nigerians, asking how they are coping with the rising costs of essential commodities and services.
She posted on her instagram: “I just paid 664 naira for toll gate. Na so e don be? Abi Dem cheat me. It now takes more than the minimum monthly wage to fill the tank of a car. How are people surviving?”.
