In a compelling testimony shared during a deliverance session led by Apostle Arome Osayi of Remnant Christian Network (RCN) in Makurdi, a former apprentice with a phone dealer recounted his harrowing journey from financial desperation to extreme poverty.
The young man confessed to his involvement in internet fraud, commonly known as Yahoo Yahoo, after being introduced to it by a group associated with his workplace. Seeking a quick path to riches, he sought the assistance of a herbalist who provided him with a black soap promising wealth.
Initially, the soap seemed to work wonders, bringing him temporary prosperity for a brief week. However, tragedy struck as the effects of the soap wore off, plunging him into a state of destitution. Faced with dire circumstances, he resorted to selling his belongings, including his gadgets, and experienced a loss of cognitive abilities, struggling to comprehend even simple words.
Reflecting on his ordeal, he shared, “They provided me with the herbalist’s contact on WhatsApp, who demanded a payment of N21,000 for the soap. My friend and I pooled our resources to afford it. Unfortunately, after just one week of seemingly good fortune, everything fell apart. I was left impoverished and, since then, I’ve noticed a significant decline in my reading abilities.”
This cautionary tale serves as a powerful reminder of the consequences that can befall those enticed by the allure of easy wealth through illicit means. The young man’s encounter with Apostle Arome Osayi and his subsequent deliverance session signify a turning point in his life, offering hope for redemption and a chance to rebuild his future on a more righteous path.
