The Committee of Baales and residents of Ibeju Lekki, Lagos, have commended Dangote Refinery for its remarkable corporate social responsibility efforts. They lauded the company for its significant contributions to the communities, including crucial infrastructure development and road repairs across the 15 host communities.
Chief Mufutau Dauda, Baale of Magbon-Segun, expressed gratitude, highlighting the tangible projects undertaken by Dangote Refinery. He praised the company’s commitment to social responsibility and noted that the refinery’s impact extends even to Lekki.
Chief Shakiru Bello, Baale of Okeyanta, appreciated the scholarship scheme launched in 2019 by Dangote. He acknowledged that the scheme has alleviated the financial burden on parents and commended the company for consistently expanding the number of beneficiaries each year.
The community members also recognized the refinery’s efforts in education, citing the training of students in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, with many passing City & Guilds certification exams.
While acknowledging Dangote’s commendable initiatives, the community leaders expressed hope for continued positive contributions to their communities.
