A journalist based in Imo State, Chidiebube Okeoma, has raised an alarm and called for a thorough investigation into the gruesome murder of his mother, Mrs. Patricia Okeoma. He accuses one Amos Ike of being responsible for her death and has submitted a petition to the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ahmed Barde, requesting a proper inquiry.
Okeoma expressed concern that the Okigwe Police Division lacks the capacity to handle the case properly and has urged for the immediate transfer of the case file to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the state Police Command.
According to his petition, on August 24, Amos Ike allegedly crushed Mrs. Patricia Okeoma to death while she was returning from a burial ceremony in Anara, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. It is claimed that Ike intentionally hit her with his RX Lexus vehicle, and after the incident, he fled with Okeoma’s car and went into hiding for five days while his mother passed away.
Chidiebube Okeoma believes this incident was a deliberate act by Amos Ike and is calling for a thorough investigation into the matter.
