Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, presented Settlement Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Scheme benefits totaling N2.276 billion to 613 families of police officers who died in active service. The cheque presentation took place at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The Life Assurance Scheme, funded by the Federal Government, and the IGP Family Welfare Scheme, funded by the Nigeria Police Force, aim to provide financial support to the families of deceased police officers.

IG Egbetokun advised the beneficiaries to use the funds for the benefit of the families left behind by the deceased officers. This gesture is part of the Nigeria Police Force’s efforts to express sympathy and support to the families of officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, helping address their day-to-day life challenges.
