Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has disclosed that some individuals have accused her of being involved in the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad. Speaking on AY’s Glass House podcast, Iyabo explained that while she had limited contact with Mohbad, people have insinuated she had ulterior motives in seeking justice for him.
Iyabo recounted that her brief interaction with Mohbad occurred at the One Africa music fest, where she saw him as a “cool boy” focused on his music despite personal challenges. She questioned why she would support an autopsy for Mohbad if she had any involvement, countering claims that she used his death for attention or personal gain.
Facing allegations that her activism was fueled by clout-chasing or aspirations for political influence, Iyabo asserted her commitment to justice for Mohbad, emphasizing her genuine concern rather than any hidden agenda.
