Jagun Jagun Dominates BON 2024: Femi Adebayo’s Film Wins Six Awards

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo’s Yoruba epic, Jagun Jagun, emerged as the biggest winner at the 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards held at the Sugar Factory Film Studios in Ilorin, Kwara State. The Netflix Original took home six prestigious awards, including Best Indigenous Film, Best Actor for Femi Adebayo, Best Production Design, Best Special Effects, Best Costume, and Director of the Year, awarded to Bayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo.

Nominated in 12 categories, Jagun Jagun has been widely celebrated as a standout production in Nollywood, showcasing the depth and potential of Yoruba cinema on a global platform. The film’s success at the BON Awards further cements Femi Adebayo’s influence as a leading creative force in the industry.

The 16th edition of the BON Awards brought together top Nollywood stars and was hosted by actress and producer Toyin Abraham. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State also attended the event and presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo.
