Renowned US rapper Jay-Z took center stage during the acceptance of the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the Grammy Awards, not only expressing gratitude but also using the opportunity to criticize the Recording Academy for its decision regarding his wife, Beyoncé.

Approaching the stage alongside his daughter Blue Ivy, the 54-year-old artist acknowledged the significance of the award in recognizing his musical achievements. However, Jay-Z didn’t shy away from addressing the Grammy’s decision not to award Beyoncé the coveted Album of the Year.
In his impassioned acceptance speech, Jay-Z urged the Recording Academy to “get it right” and voiced his concerns about the perceived oversight. He highlighted Beyoncé’s historic achievement the previous year when she clinched a record-breaking 32 trophies during the ceremony.

Jay-Z’s bold stance on the Grammy stage reflects the ongoing scrutiny and debate surrounding the awards’ selection process, as artists and industry figures continue to advocate for fairness and recognition of diverse talents in the music industry.
“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year.
“Think about that. Most Grammys never won Album of the Year, that doesn’t work.

“Some of you will go home tonight and feel like you’ve been robbed, some of you may get robbed, some of you don’t belong in the category.
“When I get nervous, I tell the truth,” Jay-Z said.
