Nigerian artist Joeboy has made a significant move in his career by launching his own entertainment company, Young Legend, and signing an exclusive deal with Warner Music. The deal signifies Joeboy’s departure from Empawa after five successful years.
During his time at Empawa, Joeboy released two EPs (“Love & Light” and “Body, Soul & Spirit”), two albums (“Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic” and “Body & Soul”), and numerous hit singles and features, accumulating over 2 billion streams across major digital streaming platforms.
Under the new Young Legend label, he will take on the role of CEO, and Deola Jaiyesimi will serve as the Head of the label, focusing on nurturing the next generation of Afrobeats superstars on a global stage.
This move follows the trend of artists like Olamide, Don Jazzy, and Mr. Eazi, who have leveraged their influence and business expertise to support emerging talent while elevating their own global musical impact.
