Jaafar Lukman has been placed in custody by a Kano State Sharia court located in Kiru LGA for allegedly assaulting Jamila Mai-Kosai’s son after the latter declined to sell him pap on credit.
Additionally, it was said that he dumped the woman’s bean cake, bean paste, and pap that she was selling at a Kano intersection.
According to the police, the defendant went to the woman intending to purchase bean cake and pap on credit, but the woman allegedly refused to give him anything because he owed her money.
According to the police, after she refused to give him the food, Lukman kicked the pap, bean cake, bean paste, and the oil she was using to fry with his leg.
When the charges were read to him, the defendant entered a guilty plea but claimed that he had been hungry and angry at the time of the offense.
The hearing was postponed until September 4 after the Khadi, Malam Usman Haruna Usman, ordered that he be kept behind bars.
