Kano Mosque Fire: Arsonist Strikes During Prayer

A mosque in Laraba Abasawa, Gezawa LGA, Kano State, was set ablaze by an unidentified man early Wednesday, leaving many worshippers injured. The attack occurred during the ‘Subh’ prayer, with about 40 people inside.

Eyewitnesses reported that the arsonist locked the mosque after igniting the fire with petrol, trapping the worshippers. It took a significant effort from the community to rescue the victims.

At least 20 severely injured individuals were rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for treatment. Authorities are investigating the incident to apprehend the culprit and ensure justice.
