Keke Palmer Requests Postponement of Restraining Order Hearing Amid Custody Dispute

American actress Keke Palmer has reportedly sought to delay her restraining order hearing with ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson to privately address their custody issues following her accusations of physical and emotional abuse.

Court documents filed in Los Angeles indicate that Palmer, 30, and Jackson, 29, initiated discussions about resolving their issues and have agreed to postpone the hearing until a mutually agreeable date, yet to be determined. The couple shares a nine-month-old son, Leodis.

Initially scheduled for December 5, the hearing related to the domestic violence restraining order will now be rescheduled as they aim to reach a resolution through mediation, according to Page Six.

The court documents state that all orders from the Temporary Restraining Order issued on November 9, 2023, will remain in effect until the hearing.

Palmer had previously been granted a restraining order against Jackson, securing sole custody of their son. Allegations of physical and emotional abuse were made by Palmer, which Jackson denies.

Earlier, Palmer’s mother, Sharon, voiced concerns about her daughter’s safety during her relationship with Jackson. A phone call recording involving Sharon making threats towards Jackson prompted further controversy. Sharon claimed her comments were out of concern for Keke and emphasized her fear for Keke’s life during the relationship. Sharon also accused Jackson of illegally recording their conversation.

Amidst this legal and personal turmoil, the ex-couple is set to reconvene in court on December 5 for the postponed hearing.
