Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has officially assumed the role of the fifth democratically-elected Governor of Kogi State. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja, the state capital, where the Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Mejabi, administered the oath of office.
The ceremony commenced with Ododo’s Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, taking his oath at 2:18 pm, followed by Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo at 2:27 pm, amidst enthusiastic cheers from a large gathering of dignitaries, personalities, and well-wishers.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, standing in for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, was present at the event to observe the swearing-in ceremony.
