Celebrated Nigerian filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, is brimming with delight as his movie “Anikulapo” secures the title of Best Overall Film at the 2023 AMAA Awards.
The African Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, event, hosted by Nancy Isime, Rahama Sadau, and Richard Ato Turkson, unfolded at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Ikeja, Lagos, on a Sunday.
Additionally, Kunle Afolayan’s film “Anikulapo” earned recognition for its exceptional production design. The filmmaker dedicated this accolade to the late Pat Nebo.
In an Instagram post the following Monday, the 49-year-old filmmaker extended congratulations to all the nominees and victors, expressing his appreciation and profound sense of pride.
Kunle Afolayan wrote: “I feel honoured and Appreciated.
