France national team captain Kylian Mbappe has reportedly made decisions regarding his future move to Real Madrid. According to El Nacional, the 24-year-old desires to switch from his current number 7 jersey to Luka Modric’s iconic number 10.
Sources state that Mbappe has informed Real Madrid of his preference for the #10 jersey starting next summer. However, he is willing to wait for Modric’s departure in the event that the Croatian extends his stay at the club.
In the absence of Karim Benzema, who left for Al Ittihad, Mbappe would be content with the vacant #9 jersey. Nevertheless, he has no intention of taking up the #7 jersey and this decision has gained support from Adidas, the sponsors of Real Madrid.
Spanish reports reveal that even the club’s sponsors are pushing for Mbappe to inherit the prestigious number 10 jersey. They propose that the number 9 be given to Endrick, who will be joining the club next summer.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is faced with the option of either extending Mbappe’s contract or selling him to Real Madrid during this summer transfer window.
