Lagos Businesses Shut Down As Security Tightens

Due to the nationwide protest against economic hardship, the roads and streets of Lagos is presently deserted, with banks, eateries, fuel stations, and other businesses shut down.

The streets, are very quiet as armed security forces took strategic positions throughout the city.

The roads, typically congested, were nearly empty, with only a few commercial buses, known as Danfos, in operation.

The usually crowded Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) terminals were deserted, with no buses in sight. Commuters who ventured out were left scrambling to catch the available Danfos.

Some of individuals were seen loitering on major roads such as Ikotun, Egbeda, Dopemu, Ikeja, and Ojota, engaging in conversation, drinking, and smoking.
