Lagos Govt Shuts Down Oshodi Market Over Poor Sanitation

The Lagos State government has closed the popular Idera Market in Oshodi for violating environmental regulations. The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), also known as KAI, enforced the shutdown due to unsanitary conditions and improper waste disposal.

Corps Marshal Major Olaniyi Cole (retired) announced that the closure is part of efforts to maintain cleanliness in markets across the state. He warned that any market not following hygiene standards would face similar action until full compliance is achieved.
