Lagos State Government Commits to Clear Pension Backlog by End of 2023

The Lagos State government has committed to clearing the backlog of pensions by the end of 2023. The Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Mr. Afolabi Ayantayo, made this announcement during a media chat. He affirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the prompt payment of pensions to retirees, with a goal of eliminating the backlog by the end of 2023.

The Lagos State government aims to meet the aspirations of the 21st-century public service as part of its THEMES+ agenda, which includes improving the civil service and enhancing the capacity of the state’s workforce.
