Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu Vows to Boost Creative Industry

Lagos, Nigeria – Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to bolstering the creative industry. He emphasized this commitment during the closing ceremony of the Emmy Kasbit show at the Lagos Fashion Week 2023, where he expressed his pride in the state’s vibrant arts and culture scene.

In a series of tweets posted on his profile on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Governor Sanwo-Olu stated, “At #LagosFashionWeek 2023, I stood proudly in the heart of a city that’s the epicenter of art, culture, and expression. Lagos is where creativity thrives. We continue to support this vibrant community because we believe in its power to transform our city and our economy.”

The governor underlined that creativity transcends the realm of fashion, highlighting its role as an economic force. He added that the state plans to invest further in the development and promotion of its creative talents, with the creative industry expected to generate job opportunities and contribute significantly to the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
