Nigerians have criticized Naira Marley following the emergence of a video believed to be the last conversation between him and his late former record label signee, Mohbad, whose full name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji. Naira Marley had earlier distanced himself from Mohbad’s death in a statement released on his Instagram account. However, on Wednesday, former Presidential aide Reno Omokri shared a video of Naira Marley and Mohbad engaged in a conversation.
During this phone conversation, Naira Marley mentioned that Mohbad had expressed suicidal feelings and had even recorded a video blaming Naira Marley and his team for his potential demise. The video has triggered various reactions online, with some questioning Naira Marley’s intentions in recording the conversation and others speculating that it could be AI-generated to clear his name.
