Louts Attack Lagos Officials, Injure Police After Building Collapse

In an unfortunate incident on Monday, a female mobile police officer assigned to the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) was injured during an altercation with a group of troublemakers at the site of a collapsed building in Agboye Estate, Oduntan Street, Ketu, Lagos.

According to reports obtained by Findwhosabi Metro, the incident unfolded as LASBCA officials were carrying out their duties to enforce an eviction notice issued to the occupants of the collapsed building.

Trouble began when the louts confronted the officials, expressing their dissatisfaction with their actions. This disagreement escalated into a confrontation.

In response, the police officers accompanying the officials decided to disperse the unruly group. During this attempt to maintain order, one of the thugs brandished a sharp object and attacked a female officer identified as Shugar, stabbing her on the wrist.

A resident, who preferred to remain anonymous, explained that the youths were unhappy with the conduct of some members of the enforcement team. This dissatisfaction led to a verbal dispute, ultimately resulting in the violent altercation. When the assailants realized what had happened, they quickly retreated.

The injured police officer was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Following the incident, order was eventually restored to the community after the intervention of local elders.
