Mrs. Amma Buwa, the daughter of Bukar Abacha, a member of the Borno State House of Assembly, was reportedly strangled to death in Maiduguri’s Gidan Dembe neighborhood by unidentified assailants.
The incident, which forced a halt to activity in the region, drew a sizable crowd of locals who flocked to the scene to see what had happened to the daughter of the state member who represents the Ngala Local Government region.
According to a source who talked with Vanguard, the event happened on Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. as the husband reportedly left the compound to go to a neighboring mosque for prayers.
He claims that the victim’s husband, who brought the body to the police station, claimed to have discovered the victim’s lifeless body with her hands and legs bound behind her back while her two-year-old child was sobbing next to her.
The deceased’s bones would be interred this morning (Wednesday), according to a family source who published the news of the tragedy on his Facebook page.
