A man took to social media to share his plight after his wife locked him outside the house for buying plantain at an “outrageous” price. The man explained that he had gone to the market on his wife’s errand and bought a bunch of plantains for ₦8,000, a price that sparked his wife’s fury when he returned home.
In a video filmed outside his home, the man explained that his wife was upset because the plantain should not have cost more than ₦4,000. He admitted he was overcharged by the market sellers, attributing it to parking his car near them, which led to being exploited.

Having learned his lesson, he vowed to use alternative transportation to avoid such situations in the future. “I go dey use leg go,” he concluded humorously, acknowledging the mistake and his wife’s frustration.
