Ifeanyi Ndieze was given a life sentence for sexually abusing a four-year-old in a church by Justice Abiola Soladoye of the Ikeja Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Court.
In accordance with Section 261 of the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015, the court ruled on Tuesday that the prosecution had fully established the elements of the sexual assault by penetration accusation against Ndieze.
According to the judge, the young girl recognized the accused as the man who carried her during a church
service and sexually molested her by sticking his finger into her underwear.
“The kid was brought home, and while her mother washed her, she began to bleed violently. Doctors at the hospital advised that the incident be reported to the police.
“At the police station, the youngster was still bleeding while her blood-soaked panties was taken as an exhibit. When the youngster was transported to the hospital, it was discovered that they had been forcibly penetrated and were in excruciating pain.
She called the prisoner’s display shameful display.
“The defendant attempted to deny the offense, and he is a pathological liar. This behavior is unacceptable. The offender is hereby condemned to life in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting the four-year-old
youngster, Soladoye ruled.
The convict’s name ought to be listed in the Lagos State Sexual Offenses Register, she added.
The judge urged parents to raise their children well.
Soladoye said that the mother of the child shouldn’t have left the infant with her six-year-old sibling.
Mrs. Olufunke Adegoke, the Lagos State Attorney, presented four witnesses and four exhibits in opposition to the convict.
Together with his sister, nephew, and niece, the defendant testified in his own defense.
