Adebiyi Samuel, 34, has been detained in Ogun State by Amotekun Corps agents for the suspected murder of his wife, Ogungbe Serah.
Samuel is accused of killing his 27-year-old wife at Lekki Phase II in Lagos before escaping to Ogun State.
The suspect was detained on Monday at Ijebu-Igbo in the state’s Ijebu North Local Government Area, according to a statement made by the deputy commander of the Amotekun Corps, Aina Oluwakayode, in Abeokuta on Thursday.
Oluwakayode stated that the suspect had admitted to committing the crime and that he will shortly be turned over to the police for additional questioning and possible prosecution.
