MFM Pastor Has No Business With Land Tussle

Pastor Babatunde George, the Regional Head of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Ilupeju branch, has been wrongly accused in a land dispute that has gained attention on social media.

Recent allegations against Pastor Babatunde George, the Regional Head of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Ilupeju branch, have sparked confusion and unrest, especially after a video surfaced online. The video, posted by a young woman, accused the pastor of stealing her father’s land. However, the facts surrounding the case reveal a different narrative, one that exonerates Pastor George from any wrongdoing.

The father of the young woman involved openly admitted during legal proceedings that the land in question was initially under the care of an omonile (local land agent), whom he had entrusted with managing the property.

This omonile later sold the land through a legitimate transaction to Pastor George, who acquired the property legally and without any unethical influence.

Crucially, the omonile also threatened the father, warning him not to come near the land anymore, further distancing the pastor from any wrongdoing. The claims that Pastor George took possession of the land unlawfully are not supported by the facts or by the court’s ruling, which upheld the validity of the sale.

The legal battle has been portrayed as one of injustice, but the real issue lies in the actions of the omonile, not Pastor George.

The father’s argument in court clarified that the sale was carried out without his direct involvement and without Pastor George’s interference. The pastor has not engaged in any illegal activities concerning the land, and the claim of intimidation by his lawyer is also unsubstantiated. Pastor George acted within the law, acquiring the land through proper channels and has never been part of the family’s distress.

It is important for the public to understand that this matter is not about theft or oppression by Pastor George, but rather a misunderstanding of the situation and the facts. The pastor and MFM remain committed to transparency, justice, and integrity, and it’s vital that misinformation and unverified accusations are not allowed to cloud the truth. Pastor Babatunde George continues to serve his community with honor, and the land dispute should be seen as a matter that involves the omonile, not the pastor.
