Joshua Bamiloye, a gospel singer and the son of Mount Zion Drama Ministry founder, Mike Bamiloye, has issued a warning to Christians about being excessively engrossed in any form of entertainment that takes precedence over God in their hearts.
He pointed out that those addicted to football and movie-watching are in a similar situation as viewers of the Big Brother Naija reality show, which he believes contains immoral content and lacks productivity.
Bamiloye emphasized that football enthusiasts should not be quick to criticize BBNaija viewers if they have ever missed a fellowship or checked live scores during a church service.
Taking to his Twitter account, he stated, “The fact remains that whatever competes with God in your heart is on the same boat. Of course, we know the show contains immoral scenes and isn’t exactly productive (like over 80% of entertainment content today).”
He urged fellow Christians to prioritize God above all else and emphasized that their dedication to Him will be evident in how wisely they handle various forms of entertainment.
