Military Vows Justice for Slain Soldiers in Abia State

The Nigerian military has declared its determination to bring the perpetrators of the recent attack on soldiers in Abia State to justice. Five soldiers were killed in a brazen assault at an Army checkpoint in Aba, prompting widespread condemnation. The military, in a press release, vowed to retaliate against the terrorists responsible, launching a thorough investigation and deploying overwhelming force to ensure their defeat.

Stakeholders, including former Governor Orji Kalu and Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, have condemned the attack as barbaric and called for swift action to apprehend the culprits. Speaker Emmanuel Emeruwa also expressed deep regret over the incident, pledging intensified efforts to root out criminal elements. Additionally, the state government has announced a N25 million bounty for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators, while the Commissioner of Police assured that the law would be upheld to ensure justice for the fallen soldiers.
