Mohbad’s Associate Primeboy Seen at Police Station Following Wanted Notice

The video featuring Nigerian singer Owodunni Ibrahim, also recognized as Primeboy, at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters, has surfaced online. Primeboy, who is the primary suspect in the case involving the late singer Mohbad, voluntarily turned himself in after being declared wanted on Wednesday.

It should be noted that the police had declared Primeboy wanted and offered a reward of N1 million for information leading to his arrest due to his failure to respond to a police summons related to the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

In a statement shared on Thursday via their official X handle, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the singer voluntarily surrendered after being declared wanted. Hundeyin also mentioned that Primeboy was promptly taken into custody for questioning and further procedures.

A video shared by TVC captured Primeboy and his lawyer at the Lagos State Police Command.

Meanwhile, Naira Marley, the head of Marlian record label, and his associate, Balogun Eletu, known as Sam Larry, have been remanded in prison. A Magistrate Court in the Yaba area of Lagos State remanded them in police custody on Wednesday. The Lagos State Police Command requested that Naira Marley and the others be detained for 30 days while they complete their investigation. However, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ruled that Fashola and the others be remanded for a period of 21 days.
