In recognition of his honesty, NAHCO’s Group Managing Director and CEO, Indranil Gupta, praised Dankode for embodying the company’s core values and announced several rewards. These included a substantial cash reward, an instant promotion, and an appointment as NAHCO’s Brand Ambassador.
Auwal Dankode, an airport cleaner at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, has been celebrated for his integrity after discovering and returning a significant amount of cash left behind by a passenger on an Egypt Air MS 878 flight. Dankode, who was on duty with his colleagues last Wednesday, found the money in seat No 25H and immediately handed it over to the airline’s Station Manager.

During the ceremony, Gupta expressed pride in Dankode’s exemplary character, stating, “We are truly proud of the exemplary character exhibited by Auwal. He is a true NAHCO ambassador and an embodiment of what NAHCO stands for: honesty, integrity, diligence, and hard work.”
Other NAHCO executives also lauded Dankode’s actions. Chief Financial Officer Adeoye Emiloju highlighted that such integrity is genuine and cannot be feigned, while Chief Operating Officer Didier Steullet encouraged Dankode to maintain his honorable path.

As the newly appointed Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc Brand Ambassador, Dankode will represent the company at major events nationwide, help promote the brand, and have opportunities to engage with senior officials and stakeholders.
