The Nasarawa State government, in collaboration with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), is determined to provide world-class referee training to indigent individuals from Nasarawa. The announcement was made by Bar. Isaac Danladi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development in Nasarawa State. This partnership was revealed during the inauguration of a comprehensive refereeing training program in Abuja.
Bar. Isaac Danladi expressed his appreciation to the President of the NFF, Alh. Ibrahim Musa Gusau, for the opportunity to participate in the training exercise. He conveyed his optimism about the potential of the refereeing talents from Nasarawa State, believing that they could become some of the best in Nigeria and even on the global stage.
In addition, Bar. Isaac Danladi appealed to the NFF President to consider increasing the number of participants from Nasarawa State in future training programs. He also pledged to work closely with the Nasarawa State Football Referees’ Council to identify and nurture talented individuals with a passion for refereeing.
The ongoing training program includes a Referees’ Course for women, running parallel to the Futsal Referees’ Course. The program is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, July 6, 2023.
