Suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has revealed that she has evidence to back her sexual harassment claim against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. She said Akpabio began blocking her from speaking in the Senate after she rejected his advances. Natasha made this known during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
The Kogi Central lawmaker, who was earlier suspended, said the time will come when she will release the evidence. “At the right time and in the right space, I will present the evidence that I have,” she stated. She also accused Akpabio of using his power to silence her in the Senate.

Meanwhile, INEC has denied being biased in the failed attempt to recall Natasha from the Senate. The commission said the petition did not meet the needed number of verified signatures and therefore could not be accepted. INEC also explained that it only followed due process during the entire exercise.
