On Monday, the Kaduna State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency reported that it had detained 69 people and recovered 398,192kg of illicit drugs in the state.
Ibrahim Braji, the state’s NDLEA commander, revealed that the seizures and arrests took place in September.
Braji noted that the state had destroyed 14 illegal drug dens, with locations in Rigasa, Gwantu, Yankifi, Nasarawa, Television, and Romi.
Others were in Gabari Zaria City, Kanti Agah, Kabala Doki, Tudun Wada, Agwa, Tirkaniya, and Kakuri.
He claimed that Indian Hemp and Cocaine were among the 398,192 kg of substances seized. Tramadol, psychoactive drugs, and methamphetamine.
In the same time frame, he claimed, authorities also found crude oil concealed in three polythene bags, a revolver made in the country, 14 rounds of blank ammo, and a 7.62mm live bullet.
Others were in Gabari Zaria City, Kanti Agah, Kabala Doki, Tudun Wada, Agwa, Tirkaniya, and Kakuri.
However, he urged the locals to offer timely and pertinent information to help the organization reduce the usage of illegal narcotics throughout the state.
