New GM for Abia Newspapers has been appointed by Governor Otti

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has appointed Chief Jones Nnanna Ike as the General Manager of Abia Newspapers Corporation, which publishes the National Ambassador Newspapers. The announcement was made by Prince Okey Kanu, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, during a meeting with the corporation’s management at their headquarters in Umuahia.

Chief Ike, a seasoned journalist and politician with over three decades of experience in the media and politics, officially assumed his role on July 5, 2023. His appointment was confirmed through a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Kenneth Kalu.

Prior to his appointment, Chief Ike had worked in various newspaper organizations, including Leadership Newspapers. He has also contributed as a guest writer to the Pilot Newspapers and other prominent newspapers in the country. Additionally, he served as the elected Chairman of Arochukwu Local Government Council in Abia State.
