Recent revelations shed light on the untimely passing of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the visionary behind Fountain of Life Church. At the age of 67, he breathed his last in the United States.
The specifics of his departure remain undisclosed by the church. Yet, insiders shared with The Nation that Odukoya’s health had been impacted by personal tragedies he struggled to overcome.
A family source conveyed, “The weight of the losses he endured was immense. He tried to stand tall, but everyone has a breaking point.”
In 2005, Odukoya’s first wife, Bimbo, met her fate in the Sosoliso plane crash at 45. The reverend faced not only the tragedy itself but also the heartless words that followed. “The cruelty of those comments deeply affected him,” an insider explained.
After Bimbo’s passing, Odukoya eventually remarried Pastor Nomthi, a South African. Tragically, cancer claimed her life at 47 on November 9, 2021. The blow was profound, leaving Odukoya utterly devastated and concerned about public opinion.
The series of losses culminated with the death of Odukoya’s twin sister a few weeks after his wife’s demise. Friends of the pastor noted that this event seemed to be the final blow to his resilience.
