He said the country is in serious pain, and even God is weeping because of the bloodshed, killings, and corruption everywhere. Speaking during a church service in Abuja, Kaigama said that despite meeting with President Tinubu to discuss the issue, things have not improved.
The Archbishop warned that insecurity has now spread beyond Boko Haram to include bandits, kidnappers, and other violent groups. He said criminals now operate freely across the country, and it seems like the security forces are either not working together or are not doing enough. Kaigama also spoke about the pain many families are facing because of the killings in different parts of the country—places like Kaduna, Ondo, Borno, and Plateau. He asked why the killers are never caught, saying it’s like they just disappear after every attack. He ended by saying Nigeria is not just suffering spiritually, but also politically, economically, and socially—and that the country urgently needs healing
