Adebowale ‘Mr Macaroni’ Adedayo, a well-known actor and skit maker, has shared his perspective on the Nigerian political landscape, suggesting that a potential curse might be haunting the system.
Mr Macaroni firmly dismissed any aspirations of entering politics in the future. The 30-year-old activist believes that once individuals become part of the Nigerian political system, even the most upright personalities can be corrupted by it.
He explained that his activism roots trace back to his secondary school days, where he developed a strong aversion to cheating and mistreatment of others. Treating people with respect is of utmost importance to him, and he stands firm in opposing those who fail to do so.
“I think in the Nigerian political system or space, at it were, there’s a curse roaming around there because we’ve seen great men, men of valour go into that space and become something we no longer recognize,” expressed Mr Macaroni, reflecting on the system’s complexities and challenges.
