The Nigerian footballer, Moses Simon, has earned recognition as one of Europe’s most skilled dribblers, making waves in the continent’s football scene.

Moses Simon, a prominent figure in the Super Eagles squad during the recently concluded AFCON 2023 tournament, has garnered attention as one of Europe’s finest dribblers. His notable performances have placed him in the spotlight.

As a pivotal player in Nigeria’s journey to the AFCON 2023 final, Moses Simon showcased exceptional skills in forward play, consistently outmaneuvering opposition defenders and creating scoring opportunities for his teammates.

One memorable instance occurred during the quarterfinal clash against Angola, where Moses Simon expertly bypassed his marker before delivering a precise assist to Ademola Lookman, who converted the chance with confidence.

According to sports analytics company Opta, Moses Simon, who currently plies his trade with FC Nantes, boasts a remarkable dribble completion rate of 55.1%, positioning him as the fourth-best dribbler in Europe. This statistic places him alongside prominent names like Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich whose also in fourth place.

Only Yamine Lamal (59.7%), Jeremy Doku (58.6%), and Leroy Sane (55.5%) have a better dribble completion rate than the 28-year-old Nigerian attacker.

It’s worth noting that Moses Simon’s proficiency in one-on-one situations surpasses even that of Kylian Mbappe, the prolific goal scorer of PSG, who has expressed his desire to explore new opportunities in the upcoming transfer window.

With three goals and five assists in 18 appearances for his Ligue 1 club, Moses Simon’s impact extends beyond the international stage, and he aims to further enhance his impressive statistics upon returning from national duty with Nigeria.
