The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has confirmed that it has not yet started bulk sales of fuel products to independent marketers from the Port Harcourt Refinery. For now, fuel produced by the refinery is supplied exclusively to NNPC retail outlets.
In a statement by NNPC spokesperson Olufemi Soneye, the company urged the public to disregard social media reports about product pricing from the refinery, describing them as misleading. Soneye clarified that current fuel supplies come from the Dangote Refinery, with prices reflecting regulatory fees from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
Meanwhile, the Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) announced that NNPCL has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) for marketers from ₦1,045 to ₦1,030 per litre. PETROAN President Dr. Billy Harry disclosed this during a strategic meeting in Abuja.
