NNPP Leader Warns Tinubu of 2027 Defeat Over Economic Policies

Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa, the Kano State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has cautioned President Bola Tinubu that his economic policies may cost him re-election in 2027. Speaking in Kano, Dungurawa criticized the President’s “anti-masses” policies and asserted that Nigerians are rallying behind the NNPP for change.

Dungurawa expressed confidence that the NNPP would secure victory in all 36 states and the presidential election in 2027, emphasizing the party’s growing grassroots support. He credited NNPP’s achievements, particularly in Kano, to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s strides in infrastructure, empowerment, and human development, which have positioned the state as a model of progress.

The NNPP leader also accused the Federal Government of allegedly aiming for a one-party system. He urged the administration to adopt policies that address citizens’ hardships and warned that failure to do so could lead to widespread electoral backlash in the next general election.
