Obaseki to Inaugurate 4 New Commissioners on Friday

On Friday, the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, will officiate the swearing-in ceremony for four newly confirmed commissioners by the state’s House of Assembly. The event will take place at the New Festival Hall in Government House, Benin City, the capital of Edo State, at 1 pm.

The newly appointed commissioners who will take the oath of office are Asi Surajo Jubril, Zubairu Dada Abubakar, Osilama Okuofo, and Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor.

According to the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, the announcement was made to inform the general public about the swearing-in ceremony. The Edo State House of Assembly had confirmed these commissioner-nominees on August 23, 2022, and they will officially assume their roles under the administration of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki on August 25, 2023.
